Pentillie Castle and Estate weddings
A natural backdrop wedding for a wedding with both the romance of the moors, and naval and marine connections.

Pentillie Castle is described as a B&B but don't let that put you off, it simply means that it can be booked for the sole use of your wedding party.

Pentillie Castle, while not a hotel in the traditional sense, boasts 9 plush en-suite bedrooms in an astounding setting overlooking the River Tamar and Dartmoor.

Only twenty minutes drive from Plymouth it's the ideal location in which to treat yourself to a wonderful wedding day.

There are numerous techniques of holding the marriage reception of your dreams at Pentillie. Whether you go for a marquee reception, or a smaller reception in the dining room, the management will on-hand to be sure that your day runs just as you imagine.

Pentiliie weddings: StatueThe patios are enormously popular for receptions drinks and canaps, while a croquet match on the turf may be the ideal activity for a rather more ad-hoc reception.

The dining room seats sixty guests for a marriage breakfast, and they are able to accommodate an extra forty guests for the evening entertainment.

For numbers bigger than sixty, a tiny marquee attached to the loggia can seat eighty for your marriage breakfast, while a huge marquee on the tennis grass could seat as many as two hundred and fifty guests with masses of space for dancing and a reception area.

The owners say that there are a myriad techniques of holding a marriage reception at Pentillie Castle that they themselves haven't even begun to think about. They are sure you will have more. So, by all possible means ask and they're going to do all they're able to to assist in creating the day of your dreams.

We also hear that you can "say your vows in a bathing hut on the banks of the River Tamar, before wandering through the grounds to the castle for a candlelit reception".

For added romance you might even, "take a dip in the heated pool within the walled garden before setting off on your honeymoon by boat from the jetty".
